Reaction vessels are constructed from borosilicate glass to accommodate the immersion wells. Beaker-shaped design helps ensure consistent wall thickness throughout. The bottoms of certain models of these vessels are flat to allow use of magnetic stirrers, and reaction vessels can be jacketed or unjacketed.
