Det giver en stærk, indledende fluorescens, og forsinker blegning af farven pga. udsættelse for lys over tid. Vectashield® Mounting medie leveres i en flaske med låg med forseglingskonus. Der medfølger også et låg med dråbedispenserpipette. Låget med forseglingskonus kan udskiftes med låget med dråbedispenser ved rutinebrug og opbevaring. Monterede objektglas skal opbevares ved 4 °C.
